subtrack Home: this month GH₵ 1,863, Boomplay due today, Netflix in 2 days

What it does

Reads your texts

MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AT Money and your bank alerts. Read on the phone, nowhere else.

Finds what repeats

Netflix, DStv, Spotify, data bundles. Every plan on one list with its next charge date.

Sorts the rest

Groceries, transport, airtime. Every payment that isn't a plan gets a category.

Reminds you first

A nudge two days before a renewal, so nothing surprises you.

Nothing leaves your phone.

No server. No account. No bank login.

  • Texts are read on this phone. subtrack has no server and nothing is uploaded.
  • It never asks for a bank password or a MoMo PIN. It only reads the alerts you already get.
  • Delete everything with one tap in Settings. Gone is gone.

Three screens, one glance

Light and dark, following your phone.

Questions

Why isn't it on the Play Store?

Not yet. The app reads text messages, and Google reviews that permission slowly for new apps. Until it's listed, the APK comes from this page, signed by me.

How do I install an APK?

Tap Download. Open the file from your notifications. Android asks once to allow installs from your browser. Tap Install, then Open.

Which texts does it read?

Only alerts from money senders: MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash, AT Money, Ecobank, GCB, Stanbic, Absa, Fidelity, CalBank and Standard Chartered. Login codes and chats are skipped.

Does it work on iPhone?

No. subtrack is Android only. iPhones don't let apps read texts, so there is no honest way to build it there.

What about Gmail receipts?

Optional. Sign in with Google in Settings and subtrack reads receipts too. Remove the account any time.

Does it cost anything?

No. It's free, and there is nothing to subscribe to. That would be a bit much.
